The work is structured into five major sections:
- General aspects of civil and commercial procedure
- Development of contentious civil jurisdiction
- Non-contentious (voluntary) proceedings
- Enforcement mechanisms before the Justice of the Peace
- General concepts of obligations and contracts
It combines theory, procedural schemes, flowcharts, model judgments, and practical criteria, strengthening judicial efficiency and legal certainty. Ana Magnolia Méndez Cabrera participated in the updated second edition as part of the drafting and revision team.
