Páginas Sueltas

In this first collection of short stories, Magnolia not only gives free rein to her prolific imagination as a reader—one who seeks reasons for everything—but also takes us by the hand, sharing and captivating us through stories that hold much of who we once were, of what we keep and treasure in our hearts with the soul of a child.

In some stories, such as Ojos de vivo, La herencia del Conde Guzmán, and Álgida, there is a blend of fiction, human misery, and selfishness that transcends, evokes, and unsettles.

She weaves together lived experiences and chimeras, mythifying them in a masterful way, as seen in Encuentro con el galipote, La leyenda de la culebra de las siete cabezas, and Al mar.

As we read her narratives, we enter her magical world not only through words, but also through beautiful and meaningful illustrations—images that vividly transport us to each place they inhabit.

Without a doubt, Magnolia has achieved a remarkable work: the fulfillment of a dream and, effortlessly, she makes us both protagonists and antagonists within it.
